About the Awards
The National Children of Wales Awards will celebrate the inspirational achievements of remarkable young people across Wales, while raising £100,000 for charities in Wales dedicated to helping children: Teenage Cancer Trust, Dreams & Wishes and the NSPCC.
We intend to shine a bright light on an amazingly brave group of children and young people who face hardships and challenges every day, yet never give up, never stop trying – inspiring those around them in the process.
The awards are brought to you by Bluestone National Park Resort and Bluestone Foundation, the company’s charitable foundation. The foundation works with many local charities in Pembrokeshire while the Resort has for many years helped charities including Dreams & Wishes, which help seriously ill children enjoy precious holiday time with their families.
Bluestone’s heritage in Wales means it is natural these awards focus on children in Wales – for now. As the company’s footprint expands, awards for children further afield may be considered in the future.
The award categories will focus on diversity, bravery, courage, sporting achievements, and children who help others through championing causes, caring and fundraising.
We already have some incredible stars associated with the event including TV personality Carol Vorderman and rugby star Ian Gough who will be our hosts for the evening.
If you represent a company and would like to get involved, we would be delighted for you to partner with us on this event and help make a difference to the real stars of Wales. We plan to raise £100,000 that will be used to provide much needed support to children’s charities in Wales.
For our winners and their families, it is often a once in a lifetime opportunity to stay in a luxurious hotel and attend the exclusive invitation only awards evening. You can help make this experience possible. All our winners also receive a break at Bluestone National Park Resorts for themselves and their families.
