Friday March 4th 2022 will see the Child of Wales Choir, run by Swansea & London based theatrical agent and performing arts teacher Mark Jermin, perform live together for the first time at the inaugural Child of Wales Awards in Cardiff’s Mercure Hotel.
The choir, consisting of more than 50 children from South Wales, will perform a medley of songs from to open the awards on Friday evening.
“It’s so important for these young singers to get a chance to perform live again in front of an audience after the last 2 years. Not only does it help them re-connect and express their creativity in a positive way but it provides the attendees at the Child of Wales Awards with some great entertainment.” Said Mark
“We are so excited to be able to finally hear our choir singing live.” Said Blanche Sainsbury, Founder of the Child of Wales and Child of Britain Awards. “These talented children have been starved of some creative outlets over the last 2 years during the pandemic and we just can’t wait to see the joy it brings to them and to us.”
With over 300 nominations in 13 categories and a star line up on the judging panel, The Award ceremony, hosted by Gethin Jones (BBC presenter) will celebrate the youth in Wales and honor the winners.
Some much needed positivity, grass roots live music and celebration!.
