Niamh Lewis – Young Leader, shortlisted nominee

8-year-old Niamh lost her hair 3 years ago and since then has worked hard to raise awareness of Alopecia and instil confidence in others. She has never once felt sorry for herself or let her Alopecia hold her back.

Niamh is breaking through into mainstream modelling and acting, promoting inclusion and diversity. She also loves equestrian vaulting and recently won the Welsh Championship for her age group and her team claimed 1st place as Welsh Champions.

Niamh's next acting role is to play a young girl going through chemotherapy, this is particularly tough as when people see her, they assume she is poorly. Having read the script, Niamh instantly wanted to honour the character and put aside the impact it would have on her to focus on the wider picture.

Her resilience and ability to support others, both children and adults, is incredible.

She doesn't see herself as brave, but as a leader.
