While celebrating the remarkable achievements of children and young people across Wales, the Child of Wales Awards is proud to partner with organisations that share our commitment to empowering, recognising, and rewarding young people for the great things they are doing.

One such partner is Swansea Building Society, whose support and dedication play a crucial role in honouring the extraordinary individuals who embody resilience, courage, and compassion.

Join us as we shine a spotlight on Swansea Building Society and their invaluable contribution as a category sponsor of the Child of Wales Awards 2024.

About Swansea Building Society - sponsor of Community Champion award

Swansea Building Society was established in 1923, with its recently expanded head office being located in Cradock Street, Swansea.  It also has branch offices in Swansea, Mumbles, Carmarthen and Cowbridge. It employs 41 full time staff, 28 part time staff, and also has a board consisting of a Chairman and six Non-Executive directors. The Society, which celebrated its centenary last year, is one of only three remaining mutual building societies in Wales and the only one with its headquarters in South West Wales.

The Society’s commitment to supporting local communities is at the heart of everything it does, and it is well known for supporting many worthy charities and community groups with fundraising support every year.

Through its partnership with us, here at the Child of Wales Awards, Swansea Building Society demonstrates its commitment to recognising and rewarding the young people of Wales who are doing such amazing things within their local communities. This support enables us to enhance the awards ceremony, amplify our reach, and support our mission, so our gratitude goes out to them.

Alun Williams, Chief Executive of Swansea Building Society said:

"Supporting the Child of Wales Awards is an honour for Swansea Building Society. We believe in the potential of every child and are committed to celebrating their achievements. Through our partnership, we aim to inspire and empower the youth of Wales, fostering a future filled with hope and opportunity."

Blanche Sainsbury, Founder of the Child of Wales Awards, added:

"We are deeply grateful for the generous support of Swansea Building Society. Its dedication to helping the local community and, in this case, empowering and celebrating young individuals making an impact in their own local communities, is very much a part of what  the Child of Wales Awards is all about."

As we celebrate the partnership between Swansea Building Society and the Child of Wales Awards, we are reminded of the power of collaboration in creating positive change. Together, we continue to uplift and celebrate the incredible achievements of children and young people across Wales. We look forward to continuing our journey of impact and inspiration with Swansea Building Society by our side.
