About the Awards
The Child of Wales Awards returned on Friday 24th March 2023!
The awards once again celebrated the inspirational achievements of remarkable young people across Wales, whilst raising vital funds for charities in Wales dedicated to helping children: Ty Hafan & Hope House.
This years event too place on Friday 24th March 2023 at Mercure Holland House Hotel Cardiff, and it was a star studded occasion that honoured some incredible young people. The evening was emotional, inspirational and unforgettable for everyone involved. Once again, it was one of the most glamorous, high-profile events in the charity calendar, with the attendance of many media personalities, celebrities and sports stars, along with performances from some astonishing international entertainers.
Covering every part of Wales, our categories award outstanding personal courage, bravery, sporting and creative achievements; and also recognise the children who help others – championing causes in their communities, protecting the environment, caring for others and fundraising.
We shine a bright light on an amazingly brave group of children and young people who face hardships and challenges every day, yet never give up, never stop trying – inspiring those around them in the process.
The awards wouldn't be possible without the generous support of businesses who share the passion of shining a light on these remarkable young people.
We will soon be opening our opportunities for sponsorship, including category sponsorship and event partnership. You can help us to acknowledging some of the real stars of Wales– these amazing and inspiring children.

The success of the awards ignited a spark within our team and we have since grown our portfolio with the Child of Britain Awards that took place on 24th June 2022 at Grosvenor House, with the Child of Scotland Awards and Welsh Golden Honours launching soon.
